About the event
Global Sports Sunday is an opportunity for churches worldwide to focus their prayers on the sports community.
We believe that major spiritual movements begin with prayer. This belief underpins Global Sports Sunday, in line with Jesus’ words in Luke 10:2: “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his fields.” As we pray for the sports world, we trust God to reveal local opportunities and guide us in sharing His love where we are involved.
Vision of GSS
Our vision is to inspire a global prayer movement for sports communities everywhere. When God’s love is evident in sports, it can reach over half of the world’s population, transforming lives and communities.
